Robert “Tank” Perry is a military veteran, former college athlete, and a merit-side rugby player, as well as a martial artist and former executive for two Fortune 500 companies.

He earned a Reserve Army Officer Commission and graduated from Wentworth Military Academy. Later, he received both a Bachelor’s and a Master of Arts, becoming a double alumnus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Robert is working to complete his DBA at California Intercontinental University, focusing his research on the crucial role of grassroots and community-level football coaching and training for young and high school athletes, highlighting their profound influence on their achievements.

His second focus is the intersectionality of youth football in mid-sized communities, the role of volunteer coaches, and the relationship between convergent and divergent leadership.

For the past 35 years, Tank has volunteered in nearly every aspect of youth football, believing every athlete deserves opportunities to enhance their skills. He is a three-year volunteer, serving as the athletic director and sponsor representative for the six-division Neemann and Sons Tackle and Flex program. Additionally, he is a two-year volunteer vice president of the Lincoln Youth Football League. He has successfully developed three girls’ 5v5 flag football teams at the high school and middle school levels.

Perry serves as the CEO and President of Tank Security Team, NE Red Wolves Co., NE 7v7 Football Tournaments, and Paramount Football Training Academy. This year, he is expanding to include 10U, 12U, and 14U girls’ 5v5 flag and 7v7 football teams under the NE RW Divas, while exploring the competitive 7v7 landscape with the NE RW Paramount Elite 12U, 14U, and 18U.
